Helangar - A Letter Back To The World

Happy Christmas, everybody, here's my Xmas present to ya all... "A Letter Back To The World" by Helangar is an incredibly intense experience.
An intelligent and deep reflection on the most frightening of the themes: the death. Very introspective, this thrash melodic metal release unites the old "This is the end" album to many new tracks of renewed power and feeling. I think the genre you prefer doesn't matter, you just HAVE to try this CD, because it's so powerful. The singer reminds me of Metallica, by the way... :3

Sadly, the band is no longer together. I'll share here some other releases by Helangar in the future.
Also, no video this time. YouTube doesn't appear to know these guys... give them some support!

This Is My Normal State - Angel Falls ++

Angel Falls is an ambient/shoegaze/experimental band from UK.
It's a really young band, so they just released this "Angel Falls ++" demo, which is almost half an hour long.
Luminous and esoteric atmospheres and vocals float into (not really) harsher moments: this is a very beautiful listen, perfect to relax and to think positive.
Nice stuff, I say. They make me remember of Mass of the Fermenting Dregs...

You can download this from their MySpace. Here it is. TIMNS MySpace and DOWNLOAD

And here's the first track, "Number 3". Enjoy!

Loss of a child - Carry me Home + Hundred Million Angels

Here we go with another work by Loss of a Child. This time I talk about "Carry me Home", the last full-length from 2009. The style remains the same as the previous releases, with layers of distorted guitars united to piano and strings lines, but this time the work is much more mature: every song has a more personal rhythm and shines differently than the other ones... this didn't happen so much in the previous "Adam and Eve", where all songs sounded like merged into a unique thing.
Matter is, that this album touches the highest peaks of this unique genre. It's a complex, intelligent, touching release which I think you should own at every cost, no matter which music genre you prefer.

The download will be processed by the amazing Lost Children Net Label.

This is the first track from the release. It's pretty different than the other ones, but it's pure genius.
How to take 5 seconds of music and repeat them to create a masterpiece.

I also want to talk you about another demo by LOAC. It's named "Hundred Million Angels" and it consists of a single, superb 20 minutes song, pure progressive genius.

Loss Of A Child - Adam and Eve

Loss of a child is a really strange project I found about some months ago.
These guys from London produce some great Alternative/Progressive/Instrumental Rock music. The main charachteristic of the band is they blend layers and layers of distorted guitars with cleaner ones, made up of strings and piano. The result is amazingly touching and progressive, inducing some sort of trance to the listener. The contents are a bit cryptic but they become more and more clear as you listen and listen to them. An album with something to say, which will touch your heart if you'll let it. Give it a try.

Give it a spin now... :3

Starting up and Insanity of War

Hello, everybody, Cataldo Cappiello aka Caelestis writes you this first blog post.
So I decided to start a blog up too, so that I could spread more and more words on the real matter of this place: Music.
I came up since a few time to have a pretty large library of underground music, incredibly talented artists who don't get much attention and fame. So I thought a blog would be a nice way to share their music. Most of the stuff I already have is completely legal and free-to-download from the band's websites, so I'll mainly post links to videos and download mirrors.
Also, I'll be sharing some more known music I really love... Let this be like a sort of "sharing knowledge" thing. If you like shoegaze, black metal, post-rock, ambient or progressive stuff, you're in the right place.

But, I'll be starting up with some awesome Death Metal by Archenterum.
Archenterum is  a newly formed band from Avignon, France.
They just released a demo named "Insanity of War" for now, but it's really worth the download (which is free, by the way. :3).
Their music is harsh ad fast, providing excellent riffs and perfect vocals. Overall, very recommended.
This is the link to their MySpace: Archenterum's MySpace
And this is the link to download the demo: Insanity Of War

See ya for now, to the next post!
